Sayulita, Jalisco, Mexico
I was first introduced to Sayulita as a sunny respite from the cold and gloom of winter on Cape Cod. Full disclosure, I quite liked the Cape that time of year, but who’s complaining when you have two months paid time off to spend in Mexico!
Sayulita is a quiet little surf and fishing village about 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Nestled right on the beach front, the town is easily managed on foot and the surrounding towns are not hard to navigate by bus or taxi. I love it there and for a while (until I found Todos Santos) I was considering relocating there part time. I would definitely go back especially as a jumping off point to see more of mainland Mexico.
