Sorrento, Italy
Ahhhh Sorrento. Lemons the size of softballs weigh down the limbs of trees that line nearly every street. The cliff side town overlooks the Bay of Naples and at night, the city lights sparkle on the black of sea. While dining beach side, you can hear the choppy water slapping the hulls of the fishing boats that are lined up and secured for the evening.
The town of Sorrento is set high on the cliff while fishing boats speckle the Turquoise water below. From the center of town there is an elevator built into the cliff side that transports you to the beach clubs below. There is nothing that cures a night of too much wine quite like a day at the beach club and a cool dip in the water.
